General Labourer – HVAC Installation Helper

$19.00 per hour | Approximately 2-Week Assignment

Location: Halifax Regional Municipality, NS
Start Date: September 1, 2026
Schedule: Monday to Friday, approximately 7:00 AM to 4:30 PM (hours may vary based on project requirements)
Required PPE: Full PPE required (including steel-toe boots)

Job Summary

Nova Staffing is currently seeking dependable and hardworking General Labourers to assist an HVAC team on installation projects. This temporary assignment is expected to last approximately two weeks and is ideal for individuals who enjoy hands-on work, physical activity, and working as part of a team on construction sites.

Responsibilities

- Assist HVAC technicians with installation projects
- Load, unload, and transport materials, equipment, and tools
- Perform heavy lifting and material handling throughout the day
- Assist with site setup and cleanup
- Organize and stage materials for installers
- Support tradespeople with general labour duties as assigned
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment
- Follow all company health and safety procedures




- Perform other duties as required to support project completion

Qualifications

- Previous construction, general labour, warehouse, or trades helper experience is an asset
- Ability to lift and carry heavy materials throughout the shift
- Comfortable working indoors and outdoors in varying conditions
- Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Reliable transportation is considered an asset
- Safety-conscious and able to follow instructions
