Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Bakery Assistant to join our vibrant bakery team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic food industry environment, assisting with daily bakery operations, food preparation, cleaning equipments, loading dishes in the dishwasher, etc. The ideal candidate will have a passion for baking and food handling, with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of food safety and quality. Whether you have prior restaurant experience or are current to the food industry, this position provides valuable hands-on experience in a creative and fast-paced setting.

Duties

- Assist with the preparation and baking of a variety of baked goods, including sponges, buttercream, etc.
- Should be able to lift 20kgs.
- Handle food safely by following proper food handling procedures and maintaining cleanliness in the kitchen
- Package baked products for sale or delivery, ensuring presentation meets quality standards
- Support the kitchen team with food preparation tasks, including measuring ingredients and assembling products




- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to food safety regulations
- Clean, sweep and mop everyday. Assist the team with cleaning bakery tables.
- Restock supplies and ensure all baking stations are properly equipped for daily operations

Experience

- Previous experience in a bakery, restaurant, or food service environment is preferred but not required; training will be provided
- Skills in cake decorating, food preparation, cooking, and packaging are highly desirable
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper handling procedures is beneficial
- Experience with kitchen equipment and baking techniques will support success in this role.
