Job Summary
We are currently seeking skilled and compassionate General Sonographers to join our private Radiology clinic team, serving the city of Kamloops and surrounding communities. We are offering daytime only, flexible schedule to fill one Full-Time or two Part-Time positions. Responsibilities
- Conduct general ultrasound examinations as ordered by physicians, ensuring adherence to established protocols and procedures.
- Prepare patients for procedures by explaining the process and addressing any concerns they may have.
- Operate ultrasound equipment independently to capture images of various body parts.
- Analyze images for quality and accuracy, making adjustments as necessary to obtain optimal results.
- Maintain accurate patient records, documenting procedures performed and any relevant findings.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to discuss findings and assist in diagnosis.
- Ensure that all equipment is properly maintained,
calibrated, and sanitized according to safety standards.
- Stay current with advancements in ultrasound technology and techniques through continuous education and training.
Qualifications
- Diploma from a recognized Diagnostic Medical Sonography program.
- Current certification from a recognized professional organization (Sonography Canada).
- Previous experience in a clinical setting is an advantage but not required; new graduates are encouraged to apply.
- Ability to scan a minimum of 13 cases per day, with efficient time management skills.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills.
- Consistently acquires exceptional quality diagnostic images and interpretation.
- Committed to providing professional and compassionate patient care.
- Ability to work well under pressure.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to give clear instructions.
- Strong team player, comfortable interacting with other team members.
Pay: $43.32-$54.04 per hour
