ASCO Aerospace Canada is a division of Montana Aerospace, with our facility located in Delta, BC. We are looking for a Quality Assurance Engineer to join our Quality Department at the Canadian operations.
Quality Assurance Engineer Responsibilities:
- Review drawings, routings, purchase orders, shop instructions and various related production and development plans for quality requirements
- Assist in providing calibrated tooling for projects
- Ensure all customer requirements are observed for product being manufactured
- Assist qualification of current manufactured quality products
- Perform product FAIs (First Article Inspection)
- Prepare control plans and inspection criteria
- Perform Root Cause Analysis on and processes
- Participate as Material Review Board member to review and disposition Non-Conforming Material as suitable
- Respond to customer NCRs and Complaints
- Manage internal CAPA process
- Validate product configuration/product certification
- Implement Continuous Improvement or LEAN activities
- Inspection of product
- Prepare QA reports
- Support and instruct as needed to Quality Inspectors
- Support quality goals and objectives along with activities to identify, explain and resolve quality issues
Qualifications:
- 2year diploma in Manufacturing/Mechanical Engineering
Criminal Background Check
Eligible for Controlled Goods Application
Canadian Citizen or Permanent Resident Status
Preferred experience:
- Experience with machining/milling aluminum, steel, titanium
- Certification through ASQ (CMI, CQIA, CQT, CQE, CQA)
- Strong understanding of GD&T;, blueprints
- Experience with ISO9001/AS9100
- Previous experience in aerospace industry
- Good communication/English skills (written, verbal)
Pay: $70,000.00-$80,000.00 per year
