Rok Power Utilities is actively hiring experienced Journeyman Linemen, Foremen, General Foremen, qualified Powerline Technicians (PLTs), and Apprentices Level 4 and above in Canada who are interested in long-term U.S. work opportunities.

About the Role

As a Journeyman Lineman, Foreman, or General Foreman, you will support utility distribution and transmission construction, maintenance, storm response, infrastructure rebuilds, and system hardening projects throughout Pennsylvania and Maryland.

Depending on your level of experience, responsibilities may include crew leadership, project coordination, safety oversight, workforce planning, mentoring apprentices, and execution of transmission and distribution work.

Key Responsibilities

- Construct, maintain, and repair overhead & underground distribution and transmission lines
- Install and replace line equipment including transformers, switches, crossarms, insulators, and conductors
- Perform energized work using rubber‑glove and hot‑stick techniques
- Climb poles and operate bucket trucks, digger derricks, and related utility equipment
- Perform system troubleshooting and fault locating
- Install and maintain underground cabling, vaults, and pedestals
- Maintain strict adherence to all safety regulations, clearances, grounding, and work practices
- Interpret blueprints, staking sheets, and system maps
- Respond to storms, outages, and after‑hours emergencies as required
- Mentor apprentices and support crew leadership
- Lead and supervise crews in the secure execution of utility construction and maintenance activities
- Coordinate daily work plans,



materials, equipment, and workforce allocation
- Ensure compliance with customer, utility, and union work practices
- Conduct tailboards, safety meetings, and field-level hazard assessments
- Train and mentor apprentices, groundmen, and developing line personnel
- Support storm restoration, emergency response, and infrastructure hardening projects
- Interface with utility representatives, inspectors, and project management as required

Required Qualifications

- Certified Journeyman Lineman / PLT (IBEW, Red Seal, Provincially Certified, or equivalent)
- Foreman and General Foreman candidates must demonstrate previous line crew leadership experience
- Minimum two years of utility line experience required for Journeymen
- Experience leading distribution, transmission, storm restoration, or infrastructure rebuild projects preferred for Foremen and General Foremen

Preferred Assets

- Valid First Aid/CPR
- Experience with smart‑grid, AMI, or SCADA systems
- Underground splicing and terminating experience
- Previous Foreman or General Foreman experience
- Storm restoration leadership experience
- Utility customer experience with major electric utilities
- Experience managing multiple crews and large-scale projects

Compensation & Work Conditions

- Competitive union wages based on IBEW Local 126 classifications
- Up to $150/day per diem (5 days per week)
- Schedule: 5 x 10-hour days
- Long-term work opportunities with a significant backlog of projects
- Travel storm, local storm, storm hardening,



overhead line construction, pole replacement, pole removals, infrastructure rebuilds, substation work, and potential transmission work
- Full E-2 immigration sponsorship, legal fees, and consulate costs paid by Rok Power Utilities.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $55.00-$75.00 per hour
