About the Opportunity
Depending on the position and community, responsibilities may include:
- Providing leadership and oversight to clinical and resident care teams
- Promoting best practices and resident-centered care
- Supporting quality improvement and regulatory compliance initiatives
- Managing staffing, scheduling, recruitment, orientation, and performance management
- Developing and implementing care plans, policies, and procedures
- Leading and mentoring interdisciplinary teams
- Collaborating with residents, families, physicians, and community stakeholders
- Managing departmental budgets and resources
- Supporting accreditation, risk management, and continuous improvement activities
- Ensuring the delivery of safe, high-quality care and services to residents
- This position requires regular weekend work (either Saturday or Sunday or every second weekend – TBD).
About You
In addition to placing high value on continuous improvement, collaboration and accountability, you bring:
- Registration in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario (RN or RPN)
- Diploma or Degree in Nursing
- Progressive leadership experience in retirement living, long-term care, healthcare, or senior living environments
- Experience leading clinical and/or resident care teams
- Solid knowledge of nursing practice standards, quality improvement, and regulatory requirements
- Excellent leadership, communication, coaching, and relationship-building skills
- A passion for enhancing the lives of seniors through exceptional care and service
- Must be available to work
