Position Description:

The QA Technician is responsible for the quality of the product and packaging that is sold to consumers. The successful candidate will focus on quality of the production process, maintenance of standard processes to prevent adulteration or contamination of product, testing of product attributes and packaging integrity, regulatory compliance, and facility sanitation.

Key Responsibilities:

- Conduct in-process quality control checks, sampling, monitoring, and finished product inspection as required.
- Report process deviations and product failures, assisting in investigations and development of solutions.
- Perform tasks assigned by QA Manager in relation to: product research, program set-up,



process capability studies, product, system audits, and other relevant tasks.
- Ensure compliance with all aspects of HACCP program and GMPs: sanitation, pest control, sampling, microbiological and chemical food safety, hygiene, product specification, in-house SOPs.
- Conduct relevant physical and sensory testing on ingredients, raw materials, packaging material and finished product.
- Analyze test results to ensure the quality and performance of the product.
- Ensure accurate recording and monitoring of QC related data into electronic management system.
- Review labels and raw material documentation prior to their release into inventory.

· Assist in the creation of new food products from concept to market.

· Conduct experiments to develop new recipes and formulations.

· Modify existing products to improve taste, texture, nutritional value, and shelf life.

- Prepare samples for sensory evaluation, stability testing, and other analyses.
- Evaluate the functionality and compatibility of new ingredients in formulations.
- Conduct pilot plant trials to scale up new formulations from the lab to production.
- Organize and conduct sensory panels to evaluate the taste, texture, appearance, and aroma of food products.
- Collect and analyze sensory data to make informed recommendations for product improvements.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and innovation.





Preferred Hiring Criteria:

Function: Quality Assurance/R&D; Years Exp 1-2 years

Education: Post Graduate/Graduate/Diploma - in Food Science/Food Microbiology/Biotechnology

Travel: No travel

Language: English & Hindi

Relevant: Industry experience

- 1-2 years’ experience in an operations environment
- Knowledge of Health & Safety regulations
- Experience in NPD & FSSC 22000 will be an asset.
- In depth understanding of Indian cuisine flavours and spices for new product development.
- Strong interpersonal, leadership and coaching skills
- Able to make decisions utilizing sound judgment and analytical skills
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Being results-oriented and thriving in a fast-paced, demanding environment
- Demonstrated computer skills within the Microsoft Office software package

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $19.00-$21.00 per hour.

Expected hours: 35 – 40 per week
