We are seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Health Care Assistant to support mental health and complex care clients residing in supportive housing facilities. This role involves independent medication management across multiple designated sites, all of which are secure and staffed by on-site support teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Organize and prepare medications for multiple clients within structured medication rooms
- Assemble medication bins and trays accurately and efficiently
- Collaborate with on-site teams while maintaining autonomy in medication-related duties
- Ensure all patient information is accurately documented and kept up to date.
- Witness and document medication administration
- Record daily care and activities using a Basic EMR (Electronic Medical Record) system (an asset)
- Check and monitor blood pressure and blood sugar levels (an asset)

Requirements:
- Valid Driver’s License and access to a reliable personal vehicle
- Graduate of a Health Care Assistant (HCA) program recognized by the BC Post-Secondary Education Commission
- BC Care Aide Registry Number (must be current and valid)
- Current First Aid & CPR certification
- Clear Criminal Record Check (including vulnerable sector screening)
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and conflict-resolution skills
- Demonstrated empathy and dedication to the well-being of seniors and individuals with complex care needs
