Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and skilled Fire Sprinkler Fitter to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing fire sprinkler systems across various construction and manufacturing sites. Your expertise will ensure that fire suppression systems are installed correctly, operate efficiently, and meet all safety standards. This position offers an exciting chance to work on diverse projects, utilizing your mechanical skills and technical knowledge to contribute to safety and compliance.
Responsibilities
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine installation procedures for fire sprinkler systems.
- Install fire sprinkler piping, fittings, valves, and heads using hand tools, welding techniques (MIG and TIG), and rigging equipment.
- Perform welding tasks including MIG and TIG welding to secure piping and components accurately.
- Conduct routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on existing sprinkler systems to ensure optimal performance.
- Use precision tools such as calipers and basic math skills to measure components and ensure proper fitment.
- Collaborate with other trades such as plumbing, HVAC, or electrical teams during project execution.
- Follow safety protocols rigorously while working with complex schematics, mechanical systems, and heavy equipment in manufacturing or construction environments.
Requirements
- Proven experience in fire sprinkler installation or related construction fields with a strong mechanical aptitude.
- Proficiency in reading blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams related to fire suppression systems.
- Skilled in welding techniques including MIG and TIG welding; experience with welding safety standards is essential.
- Familiarity with HVAC systems, plumbing practices, rigging operations, and general manufacturing processes.
- Ability to operate hand tools, calipers, and other measurement devices accurately.
- Basic math skills for measurements and calculations during installation or repairs.
- Knowledge of schematics, mechanical systems, maintenance procedures, and troubleshooting techniques.
- Construction experience preferred; certifications in welding or rigging are a plus.

Pay: $50.00-$60.00 per hour
Expected hours: 44.0 per week

Experience:
- Fire sprinkler fitting: 5 years (preferred)
