Position DescriptionA temporary part-time (0.48) Early Literacy Intervention Teacher is required by School District No. 60 (Peace River North) effective immediately until June 12, 2026. The assignment will be at Baldonnel Elementary School.School OverviewBaldonnel Elementary School is a rural K-6 school located 15 minutes from Fort St. John and midway between Fort St. John and the community of Taylor. The school has a student population of 110 students, 30% of whom are Indigenous. It employs 10 dedicated and collegial staff members. District Itinerant Staff provide a range of services. Students participate in district elementary sports, band, gifted and enrichment programs, and the school has an active Parent Advisory Council (PAC).Qualifications and ExperienceValid BC Ministry of Education Teaching Certificate (or eligible for)Qualifications and demonstrated ability to teach the identified subjects at the elementary years levelExperience with universal design and differentiation to meet the diverse needs of studentsExcellent interpersonal, communication, collaboration and organization skillsExperience/training/knowledge of Social Emotional Learning.
