Your Opportunity The Emergency Department at the Peter Lougheed Centre is entering an exciting new chapter. With the final phase of our brand-new, state-of-the-art emergency department nearing completion, we are preparing to open at full capacity in early 2026. This expansion marks a significant milestone in Calgary’s healthcare landscape and brings with it the need for additional skilled and passionate Registered Nurses (RNs) to join our growing team. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP) certification. Minimum of two (2) years of acute care nursing experience obtained within the past four (4) years working greater than 0.70 FTE.Preferred Qualifications:Minimum two (2) years nursing experience in a Calgary or Edmonton Zone Emergency Department. Triage and Trauma trained. Charge trained in a Calgary Zone Emergency Department. Bachelor’s degree in nursing. Recent critical care experience (obtained within the past 3 years working greater than 0.50 FTE). ENCP (within 4 years). TNCC (within 4 years). ACCN certification.
