Your actual pay will be based on your skills and experience — talk with your recruiter to learn more.Job ResponsibilitiesThe Senior Insurance Specialist Associate is responsible for managing and overseeing all insurance-related operations, including total loss and credit life claims, insurance deficiency tracking, and ancillary product cancellations. The role ensures accurate processing, compliance, vendor coordination, performance tracking, and supports day-to-day operational requirements across insurance workflows.Insurance DeficiencyTrack lease VINs and ensure accuracy of data files sent to vendorsExecute follow-up actions for insurance-deficient accounts (calls, SMS, email)Coordinate repossession assignments when requiredProduce performance metrics for all follow-up activitiesInsurance ClaimsManage relationships with insurance companies to process total loss and physical damage claimsProcess Proof of Loss documentation and maintain claim recordsEnsure compliance with internal SLAsCoordinate credit life insurance claims and produce related metricsAncillary Products CancellationsProcess ancillary insurance cancellations and rebates with third-party vendorsCollect required metrics from vendorsSupport the transition of ancillary cancellation processes in-houseOther DutiesOther duties as assignedQualificationsExperience working for an automotive captive finance company with an understanding of lease and loan operationsExperience with insurance companies or involvement in insurance claim processesBilingual in English and French (required)Education & CertificationHigh school diploma requiredKnowledge, Skills, & AbilitiesAdvanced user of LOS and V8 systemsStrong understanding of auto lease agreements and conditional sales contractsSubject matter expertise in lease and loan operationsIntermediate to advanced Excel skillsAbility to manage customer interactions and handle inquiries, conflicts, or complaintsAbility to resolve issues without defined processes and identify compliant solutionsStrong prioritization skills to manage multiple tasks efficientlyAbility to work independently with minimal supervisionAbility to transfer knowledge effectively to support team growthAbility to collaborate across departments and build solid relationshipsHigh level of emotional intelligence with effective conflict-management skillsHyundai Capital Canada Inc. is committed to acknowledging applications from people with disabilities.
