We work coast‑to‑coast across every railway sector and project size, delivering service excellence and exceptional value to our clients.Within our team, we call thisDoing It Right!The OpportunityThe Railway Signal Project Engineer is responsible for generating and reviewing signaling design drawings in compliance with industry standards, client requirements, and internal engineering procedures.Working closely with the Engineering team, this role supports the design lifecycle from concept through commissioning, while maintaining drafting discipline, ISO compliance, and quality control across signaling deliverables.This role is more than design — it’s aboutengineering secure, reliable systems that protect rail operations every day .What You’ll DoProduce and review railway signaling and electrical layout/design drawingsEnsure designs comply with applicable standards and governing bodies (e.G.,CSA, TSSA,



AREMA )Maintain company and client drafting standards within the Engineering departmentMaintain and apply currentCAD standardsacross drawings and development workPerform work accurately within established cost and schedule limitsAct as an independent checker for signaling designs and data prepared by othersUpdate and revise existing drawings as requiredAssist Mechanical Designers with layout and design drawingsMaintain product standards and oversee quality control programs perISO 9001:2015requirementsSupport ISO documentation and processes for purchasing, production, assembly, installation, NCRs, CPARs, and internal auditsProgram PLCs (e.G.,ScadaPack ) for signaling and related applicationsConduct factory acceptance testing (FAT) of wired assembliesParticipate in on‑site commissioning of signaling systems and equipmentCollaborate with engineering, production, and operations teams to support project executionPerform additional duties as required to support engineering and production objectivesWhat You BringUniversity or college degree inElectrical Engineering5+ years of railway signaling design experienceStrong understanding of signaling principles and industry standardsProficiency withCADand drafting systemsP.Eng designationis an assetStrong interpersonal, communication, and teamwork skillsSolid planning, organizational, and time‑management abilitiesFamiliarity with modern software development toolsStrong attention to detail and commitment to quality and safetyWorking knowledge of ISO quality systems and documentation requirementsOperational knowledge and an understanding of field commissioning activitiesWhat We OfferCompetitive compensationOpportunities for professional growth and technical developmentA collaborative team environment whereSafety is always the top priorityUniversal Rail Services Inc. is anEqual Opportunity Employer .#J-18808-Ljbffr
