Play a pivotal role in shaping governance at Métis Nation–Saskatchewan as the Deputy Chief of Legislative Services. This permanent, full-time position focuses on legislative leadership and self-government.
Reporting to the Chief Operations Officer, the Deputy Chief will guide key legislative initiatives to modernize governance structures and enhance Métis self-determination. You will be responsible for championing creative governance policies while leading strategic collaborations with directors and managers. Your leadership will impact the future of Métis governance.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide legislative and governance strategy recommendations • Develop modern Métis laws and frameworks • Oversee citizen consultations for constitutional reforms • Enhance treaty negotiations and self-government strategies • Collaborate with senior leadership for effective governance
Requirements: • Graduate degree in Public Administration or related field • Ten years of senior leadership experience • Expertise in Indigenous governance and policy development • Ability to lead large-scale governance initiatives • Valid driver's license and travel readiness required
