We are focused on key enabling materials for OLED displays that will be used in next‑generation consumer electronics and automotive. Our advanced electrode materials and associated manufacturing technology are being used to build transparent displays and lighting. We work closely with our partners and customers to design new materials that are mass‑production ready. Using our computational Materials Discovery Platform, we rapidly iterate new materials, allowing quick turnaround time to meet our customers’ needs.Workplace TypeOn‑sitePrimary ResponsibilitiesOTI Lumionics is looking for a Junior Organic Chemist to join its Synthesis team. The Junior Organic Chemist will carry out organic synthesis and produce molecules using various chemical and instrumental techniques, in accordance with SOPs and health & safety standards, while working under minimal supervision. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Follow established method procedures, SOPs, and safety guidelines for setting up and organizing laboratory equipment and reactions to ensure accurate, efficient, and safe execution.Perform laboratory separation of complex mixtures using advanced and fundamental purification techniques such as normal phase chromatography, reversed phase chromatography, ion‑exchange, in accordance with established procedures.Conduct laboratory analysis of raw materials,



in‑process and finished products using analytical techniques such as NMR, MS, TGA, and DSC.Evaluate physical properties of raw materials, in‑process and finished products such as melting point and solubility.Report experimental results and any deviations encountered during synthesis and suggest appropriate improvements to methods or procedures.Present data clearly and accurately in written documentation and verbal discussions.Ensure compliance with environmental policies, procedures and objectives, and actively participate in identifying and reducing environmental impacts related to the role.Adhere to health and safety protocols, report hazards, and contribute to maintaining a safe and healthy work environment for all employees.Perform other ad hoc duties as assigned.ProfilePhD or MSc in Organic Chemistry.Required SkillsStrong knowledge of organic reactions and their corresponding mechanisms.Ability to conduct chemical literature research.Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and relevant data processing programs.Experience with laboratory setup and maintenance is desirable.Knowledge and understanding of GMP/GLP is considered an asset.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Strong attention to detail.Fast learner who is flexible, proactive, demonstrates strong initiative and a can‑do attitude.Willingness to work extended hours when required.Ability to work all shifts, including morning, evening, weekend, and holiday shifts.Salary$55,000 – $75,000 a year.#J-18808-Ljbffr
