In a forward‑thinking workplace tied to the Town of Innisfil’s Strategic Plan 2030, you will collaborate with the Treasurer and supervisors to prepare, present, and manage the Town’s annual operating and capital budgets and forecasts.ResponsibilitiesSupport the Town’s capital and operating budget processes, including review of the 10‑year capital plan, operating business plans, budget and forecast submissions aligned with corporate targets, user fee analysis, and service level change requests.Assist with external audit and financial reporting, including preparation of consolidated financial statements, supporting working papers, and legislated financial information returns.Manage core accounting functions such as general ledger and sub‑ledger reconciliations, journal entries, HST remittances, and support for accounts payable processes.Maintain the asset and fixed asset ledger in accordance with established policies,



analyzing developer agreements and as‑built documentation.Provide financial analysis and advisory services, including monthly and quarterly reports, budget performance monitoring, variance analysis, mitigation strategy recommendations, and departmental advisory on financial structures and internal controls.Job RequirementsUniversity degree in Commerce or Business Administration, or a related field.Preferred: A recognised professional accounting designation (e.G., CPA).Minimum of 3 to 5 years of accounting and finance experience, preferably in a municipal environment.Availability for deadlines, meetings, and peak periods that may extend beyond the normal workday or occur on evenings and weekends.EEO StatementThe Town of Innisfil is committed to diversity and inclusion in our workplaces.
