What You'll Do

- Prepare and coordinate detailed cost estimates for commercial and institutional construction projects from conceptual design through tender submission.
- Review drawings, specifications, and project documentation to identify risks, opportunities, and cost-saving solutions.
- Solicit, evaluate, and negotiate subcontractor and supplier pricing to ensure competitive and accurate project budgets.
- Support collaborative preconstruction efforts by working closely with project managers, operations teams,



consultants, and clients.
- Assist with value engineering, constructability reviews, procurement planning, and bid strategy development to improve project outcomes.

What We're Looking For

- 5+ years of estimating experience with a General Contractor focused on commercial, institutional, healthcare, recreation, or mixed-use construction.
- Experience preparing complete building estimates and managing multiple tenders in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong understanding of construction methods, labour productivity, material pricing, subcontractor procurement, and cost planning.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and contract documents with a high degree of accuracy.
- A collaborative and relationship-focused professional who thrives in team-oriented environments and enjoys working with diverse project stakeholders.
