or hybrid event time, this is the go‑to team for conference agenda development and event logistics for corporate functions of all sizes and scopes.What is the Opportunity?As a Graphic Design Coordinator, you’ll support the development of Aecon’s visual communications across both print and digital platforms. Working primarily in Adobe Creative Cloud and Canva Enterprise, you’ll help design and produce a wide range of materials, including presentations, internal communications, marketing collateral, social content, and print assets.You bring a strong eye for detail, an organized approach to your work, and a genuine eagerness to learn and grow. With a solid foundation in graphic design principles such as layout, typography, and visual hierarchy, you also have a working understanding of print production and digital best practices. You’re comfortable designing within established brand guidelines to ensure consistency, while also contributing fresh ideas and thoughtful improvements to how the brand shows up across channels. Curious about design trends and tools, you welcome feedback and apply it constructively to your work.You’re able to manage multiple projects at once, prioritize competing deadlines, and balance speed with quality – delivering reliable, on‑brand work in a fast‑paced environment.Reporting to the Director of Communications with direct guidance of our Manager of Brand Design, you’ll collaborate closely with the design team, and cross‑functional partners to support business needs and contribute to the ongoing evolution of Aecon’s brand.What You’ll Do Here:Design and produce digital and print assets in alignment with Aecon’s brand standardsBuild and maintain Canva templates, including basic animations and short video contentManage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting timelines and production requirementsCollaborate with internal stakeholders to translate business goals into clear,



effective visual solutionsInterpret high‑level concepts and data to create engaging graphics for presentations and communicationsContribute to team process improvements and shared learningsStay current on design trends, tools, and emerging channelsWhat You Bring to the Team:Diploma or degree in Graphic Design (or equivalent experience)2+ years of experience in an in‑house or agency design environment is preferred but we welcome recent graduatesA strong portfolio demonstrating visual craft, design thinking, and attention to detailProficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop)Working knowledge of Canva Enterprise, including animation capabilitiesWorking knowledge and experience in Microsoft PowerPointSolid understanding of print production and file preparationExperience designing for both digital and print formatsStrong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to clearly articulate design decisionsExceptional organizational skills and the ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environmentA cooperative mindset, openness to feedback, and a desire to continuously improveNice to have:Experience in Photography, Video Production, Animation or Motions GraphicsKnowledge/Experience in User Experience/User Interface DesignKnowledge/Experience in Marketing or CommunicationsRGD membership or affiliationPlease note this is a 12‑month contract opportunity.Reason for vacancy: ReplacementThe expected salary range for this opportunity is $60,000‑$65,000Aecon fosters diversity, inclusion and belonging within and across our organization.
