Position: Retail Store SupervisorType of employment: Full-Time; PermanentNo of positions: 1Anticipated Start date: As soon as possibleWork Location: 9793 Chemainus Rd, Chemainus, BC V0R 1K0Salary and BenefitsSalary: $25.00 per hourOvertime and Vacation PayStable & full-time employmentWork-life balance through flexible and accommodating work environmentEmployee discount on store itemsJob ResponsibilitiesCoordinate with team members to assign responsibilities for stocking, cleaning, labeling, and decorating the store.Supervise and coordinate all sales transactions between staff and cashiers to ensure a smooth customer experience.Attend to customer queries and complaints in person or over the phone, addressing issues like employee behavior, product availability, and returns.Facilitate resolution of escalated customer service issues.Operate the cash register, handling payments through cash, debit cards,



and credit cards.Assist with authorizing special payment methods like cheques and managing merchandise returns.Prepare inventory orders based on current stock levels to keep the store well-supplied.Prepare daily reports to track sales volumes and merchandising effectiveness.Assist in the hiring process for new staff members and oversee their sales skills training.Hold regular team meetings to discuss performance metrics, customer feedback, and workflow improvements.Maintain optimal store conditions by upholding visual merchandising standards and managing in-store promotions.Implement loss prevention strategies to minimize theft and fraud risks.Perform any other duties required for the store’s successful operation.Job RequirementsCompletion of secondary school.Demonstrated and relevant supervisory, leadership and managerial experience.Education in business or a related field would be an asset.Ability to lead and manage a team to achieve common goals in a fast-paced setting.Strong leadership skills with a commitment to fostering an inclusive and diverse workplace.Exceptional communication, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.Flexibility to work weekend shifts and adapt to the store’s needs.#J-18808-Ljbffr
