We look forward to hearing from you.The Senior Planner is responsible for the delivery of project planning and progress measurement, ensuring that Hatch procedures and best practices are applied, as appropriate, and recommending changes to the Project Controls Manager where required. The Project Lead Planner is responsible for developing and maintaining the project master schedule to meet the project objectives.Managing the planning resources allocated to the project by leading and directing Planners/ Schedulers and subordinates so that they are motivated and have access to the required resources in order to meet the work objectives set for them. Manage and mentor planning/scheduling team to ensure that staff has an understanding of what is expected of them and has the necessary skills to execute the requirements. Identification training and development requirements for staff and ensure skills development takes place.Key ResponsibilitiesA strong personal commitment to safetyPersonal responsibility for safety incident reportingBehavioral-based safety ethos to be embracedPersonal responsibility for stopping any unsafe behavior as and when it occurs, and thereafter reporting the safety incident so that corrective action may be obtainedFamiliarization with Hatch safety processes,



protocols and proceduresFEL3 data verification and Project set-upMeet Functional Managers to finalize FEL4 project set-up schedule (using standard template)Conduct interactive planning meeting with Functional Managers to finalize project implementation scheduleConfirm level 1 and 2 project schedule and critical path and set baseline for project implementation phaseConfirm and refine FEL4 level 3 scheduling (incl. early works and understand schedule basis)Identify and schedule critical vendor data requirementsPopulate approved measurable commodity quantities and labor to produce baseline S-curvesParticipate in project schedule risk analysis and include resultant contingency in baselineMaintain FEL4 schedule basisUsing progress reports (early and late curves) and project schedule (level 3 baseline); maintain, optimize and monitor progress. Identify and resolve issuesDevelop FEL4 level 3 commissioning scheduleAnalyze contractor level 4 schedule and provide recommendationsProject schedule monitoring and updatesGenerate and verify weekly updates and issue progress reportsMaintain and optimize schedule, monitor progress, highlight and resolve schedule issuesGenerate all progress curvesDevelop and maintain commodity and resource profileExtract and publish four-week look ahead scheduleMonitor slippages and critical and near critical paths and discuss with Project Controls Manager for resolutionEstablish all equipment/ material and contractor ROS (Required on Site) datesProvide schedule input to the procurement bid process including reporting requirements and vendor and contractor milestone datesAssist with bid evaluation and ongoing management of the vendors and contractors with respect to their schedule commitmentsProject trend and change managementOnce a change is approved, maintain and optimize the schedule, monitor progress and highlight/resolve areas of potential concern.Project progress measurement and earned valueGenerate and verify weekly updates and issue progress reportsObtain progress info via progress reports, EPCM status report,



vendor progress report and cost report and calculate progress for construction packagesQualifications and ExperienceEssentialTertiary qualification in engineering or other relevant discipline or appropriate substituted experienceTwo to four years relevant experience in managerial position supported by five to eight years experience as a planner in a multi discipline project environmentSound technical knowledge in a multi-discipline environmentKnowledge of the estimating and tendering processesKnowledge in the use of Primavera Project Planner P6Technical overview of work methods and techniquesRisk management principlesGood knowledge of project management principlesKnowledge of forms of contract will be a definite advantageInterpersonal and good communication skills in the areas of both written and verbal communicationComputer literacy (MS Office package)Able to work under pressure and meet deadlinesPlanning and organizingProblem solving and mitigating skillsPresentation skillsBase salary range: $120,000 - $180,000At Hatch, we are committed to fair and equitable compensation practices.
