The upper end of the range is typically reserved for candidates who fully meet all requirements and qualifications outlined in this posting and the official job description.Position DescriptionReporting to senior leadership within the Building Science Group, the Structural Forensic Engineer will take a lead role in managing and executing projects involving structural investigations, failure analysis, and building envelope performance. This role combines fieldwork, technical analysis, and project management,



with a strong focus on identifying root causes of structural and building system failures.ResponsibilitiesLead structural and building envelope investigations at job sitesIdentify root causes of structural deficiencies and building failuresConduct site assessments, testing, and sample collectionPrepare detailed engineering reports and technical recommendationsDevelop repair strategies, including stamped drawings where requiredManage project timelines, budgets, and deliverablesCoordinate and oversee Engineers-in-Training (EITs) and technologistsLiaise with clients, contractors, and stakeholdersParticipate in site meetings, walkthroughs, and project planningSupport business development and client relationship managementEnsure compliance with building codes, standards, and regulationsExperienceBachelor’s degree in Engineering (Civil, Structural, or Building Science)Licensed Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) in Ontario (PEO)Minimum 2–3 years of post-licensure experienceExperience in structural investigations or building scienceWorking with a consulting firm a strong assetQualificationsStrong knowledge of building systems and construction methodsExperience with structural assessments and failure analysisAbility to interpret drawings, specifications, and site dataProficiency with AutoCAD, Bluebeam, Microsoft Office, and Google DocsFamiliarity with structural design softwareJob DetailsJob Type - On-Site, Permanent, Full-TimeJob Categories - Construction | CivilManages Others - NoRequired Travel - Some (25%)Relocation Assistance - NoIn accordance with Canadian laws, it is the policy of Stoakley-Stewart Consultants to consider all qualified individuals for available positions without regard to race, colour, religion, sexual orientation, country of origin, age, disability, etc.#J-18808-Ljbffr
