The Opportunity:We are seeking a highly skilled and advanced technical cybersecurity professional, preferably a Microsoft MVP, to our Global Security Operations and Engineering team. The successful candidate will lead technical security initiatives with a particular focus on Microsoft Cloud Security covering the full scope. and manage the SOC tools in use.Extract data from systems and build reports for management; Power BI skills would be an advantage.Knowledge transfer and sharing.Monitor and respond to feedback from customers (employees and business stakeholders).Apply a problem‑solving and solutions mindset, coordinating with the IT teams as needed.Finance / Budgetary ResponsibilitiesProvide feedback on tooling and identify additional needs, plan for the expansion of security tools to cover ongoing needs, and evaluate license usage and potential growth.What you'll bring to WSP:Demonstrable, current, and verifiable technical skills with Microsoft security tools, especially MS Sentinel, Defender, Logic Apps.Robust experience with Entra ID, AD, and creation and management of complex role assignments and permissions.Experience with Purview.Proven track record in improving and maturing existing security implementations and configurations in the Microsoft Cloud landscape.Substantial expertise implementing SIEM/SOAR automations, developing and fine‑tuning SIEM detection rules to reduce manual effort, including log ingestion, connector options, and cost analysis.Solid experience in securing the attack surface in a Microsoft environment and hardening existing systems in a hybrid enterprise landscape (end‑user devices, servers, etc.); knowledge of other vendors and services is an added advantage.Expertise in the overall security landscape, including threat and vulnerability management and remediation guidance.Deep knowledge of Entra ID, including identity protection,
conditional access, zero‑trust architecture, and advanced threat detection.Cyber‑security professional at heart, tracking and mitigating emerging threats such as zero‑day exploits and APTs.Experience with concepts and systems such as Privileged Account Management, Key Management (certificates, keys, ciphers, etc.).Ability to lead security systems integration, including architecture design for ticketing systems and integrating Defender with ServiceNow.Capability to extract relevant data, create security reports, etc. (advantage).Strong leadership in planning architecture, deliveries, and coaching team members to high technical standards.CompensationBC, AB, SK, NWT & NU:$162,200 – $212,200MB & ON:$148,000 – $198,000Atlantic Provinces & QC:$146,500 – $194,600DisclosureThe final salary awarded for this role may vary from the above range based on education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, and business or organizational needs.
