We are seeking a motivated and experienced Intermediate Building Mechanical Technologist (Plumbing Focus) to join our clients engineering team in London or Kitchener. In this role, you will support the Plumbing Division in the design and delivery of projects across the residential, commercial, institutional, and industrial sectors.What You'll Be DoingPreparing and coordinating plumbing design drawings for permit and construction under the direction of the Project Engineer or Project LeadSupporting the development of design briefs, verification requirements, and project checklists to ensure quality and complianceCoordinating with clients, consultants, and internal teams to maintain design intent and project milestonesReviewing and issuing shop drawings, and supporting construction through site reviews and technical clarificationAttending design and coordination meetings, and documenting/distributing meeting minutesMonitoring project scope, timelines, and deliverables, and flagging potential risks to the Project LeadAssisting with fee proposals, pricing reviews,



and peer review coordination as neededSupporting occupancy and project sign-off activities to ensure alignment with design and specificationsMaintaining accurate project documentation and correspondence for close-outPerforming other related duties as requiredWhat You'll Need To Be Successful4–8 years of experience in building design, with a focus on plumbing design and/or installation for commercial or multi-unit residential projectsDiploma in Mechanical Technology, Architectural Technology, or a related fieldStrong organizational and problem-solving skills with the ability to deliver results in a fast-paced environmentExcellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey technical informationProven ability to manage multiple projects at various stages simultaneouslyHigh attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy and qualityAbility to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environmentAdaptability and flexibility to manage shifting prioritiesStrong time management and prioritization skillsCommitment to continuous learning and skilled developmentProficiency in AutoCAD and MS Office; experience with Revit is considered an assetCompensation Range:$63,000- $80,000#J-18808-Ljbffr
