About Our Client
Our client is a well-established healthcare organization serving the WhiteRock and South Surrey community. They are seeking a versatile and detail-oriented Accounting / Administrative Assistant to provide temporary support across finance, administration, and human resources functions. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys a wide-ranging role and is comfortable balancing accounting responsibilities with confidential HR and administrative duties in a collaborative office environment. Job Type: Temporary Duration: 4 weeks, with a possibility of extension Start Date: September 8, 2026 Schedule: Tuesday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM Alternative Hours: 8:30 AM - 4:30 PM may be available Location: White Rock, BC Work Arrangement: Fully on-site Compensation: $35-$40 per hour Parking: Free parking available Responsibilities
Accounting & Finance
Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions. Prepare electronic fund transfers (EFTs), cheque payments, and deposits. Process payments for physicians, contractors, and vendors. Maintain accurate vendor information and banking records. Reconcile corporate credit card statements. Assist with month-end and year-end financial processing. Work closely with the Finance Coordinator and Executive Director on financial and accounting activities.
Administration & Human Resources
Maintain confidential employee and HR records. Assist with general HR-... Provide ... General Office Support
Manage multiple priorities across accounting, HR, and administration. Collaborate with the team members to ensure smooth day-to-day operations. Take on additional administrative or financial tasks as required. Qualifications
Previous experience in accounting, bookkeeping, accounts payable/receivable, or financial administration. Experience with general administrative and/or HR support is highly preferred. Strong understanding of accounting processes, including reconciliations, payments, and financial documentation. Experience processing EFTs, cheques, deposits, and vendor payments is an asset. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Excellent organizational and time-management skills. Ability to handle confidential information with discretion. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel. Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a small team. Comfortable managing a varied workload and shifting priorities. All applicants must have legal permission to work in Canada and require a valid Work Permit and Social Insurance Number.
