Key Responsibilities

- Handle commercial litigation files from inception through resolution.
- Draft pleadings, motions, affidavits, legal opinions, and other court materials.
- Conduct legal research and develop case strategies.
- Represent clients in negotiations, mediations, hearings, and court proceedings.
- Manage client relationships and provide timely legal counsel.
- Collaborate with internal team members on complex litigation matters.
- Support business development and contribute to firm growth initiatives.

Qualifications

- Minimum 3+ years of commercial litigation experience.
- Strong advocacy, drafting, and negotiation skills.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to manage files independently while working within a team environment.
- Strong communication and client relationship management skills.
- Licensed and in valuable standing with the relevant Law Society in Canada (or eligible to transfer, if applicable).
