The technician will be responsible for various BAS preventative maintenance tasks, programming & graphic changes, possible HVAC equipment startups, and commissioning and troubleshooting of DDC Systems with minimal supervision. This position requires flexibility to work overtime as the business needs (on call).U00A0Key Responsibilities:u00A0Understand and have knowledge of building mechanical/electrical/control systems and equipment, typical BAS controls systems and devicesEffective and timely communication at the highest possible levelTotal customer satisfaction, internal and externalPerform site-specific training for owner/operatorProfessional and expedient conflict resolutionPerform system startups, and network connections, create and modify graphics interfaces as requiredPoint-to-point functional testing of equipment/systemsDocumenting and record-keeping of oneu2019s workCoordinates and communicates with clients and dispatchers.Adherence to schedules and deadlinesAttention to safety protocolsUse of hand tools and testing equipmentQualifications:u00A0High School or GED required.Associates degree or equivalent from a two-year College or technical school with a certificate in Instrumentation, Automation, HVAC, AAS, BAS preferred,u00A0 orCertified Red Seal Electrical Journeyperson for min 1 year with computer skillsProficient with:



Microsoft Office SuiteGood understanding of the Canadian Electrical Code. FSR-B is an asset.Knowledge of Wireshark and Network CapturesBCEM (Building Certified Energy Manager)SEMAC (Sustainable Energy Management Advanced Certificate)u00A0Strong written and verbal communication, as well as interpersonal skillsResourceful, problem-solver that is energetic and able to manage multiple prioritiesMust have a valid driveru2019s license and hold a clean driving recordWilling to work after hours and on an on-call rotational basisProblem-solving solid abilities (electrical troubleshooting and problem-solving, networking)Knowledge of programming, access, and surveillance systems, fire alarm, and network topologyFocused and detail orientatedTeam player that functions well in a busy environmentAble to work independently and manage time effectivelyu00A0The gross hourly range isu00A0$30 - $55.This range represents the anticipated low and high end of the range for this position.
