Engage on critical projects as assigned by General Manager.Specific ResponsibilitiesProvide subject matter expertise within agreed‑upon timeframes to Sales and Applications in the quotation process.Recommend and implement metrics on customer satisfaction. During the life cycle of large system projects maintain overall customer satisfaction by anticipating and preventing issues before they become customer concerns, and by optimizing the use of resources.Persuade key technical personnel at the customer site that ATS is key to their success to influence subsequent buying decisions. Provide timely customer intelligence to Sales and Business Development. Monitor and report on internal customer satisfaction data to the General Manager.Implement the departmental policies and objectives as prescribed by the General Manager. Recommend departmental operating budgets and operate within the budget parameters.Maintain an accurate project status tracking system. Collect, monitor and report on performance at the department level for accountable discipline. Ensure optimal utilization of resources. Accountable for the successful execution of the projects. Resolve issues between different groups at the director level.Perform SWOT analysis on department as required by the General Manager.Recommend and implement best practices and standard designs to improve quality. Direct the implementation of 6‑sigma,



lean and continuous improvement projects. Measure and report on quality performance data.Assist with continuous systems design improvements on production machines.Direct the assessment of new technology to meet anticipated customer requirements as authorized by the General Manager. Perform SWOT analysis on strategic third‑party suppliers.Oversee the development of innovative programs to meet industry demand. Recommend and implement design and engineering procedures and standard practices to comply with industry‑specific regulatory requirements.Communicate, implement and refine the project team culture as prescribed by the General Manager.Execute the manpower resource and development plan for stratum 2, and set the context for resource planning at the stratum 1 level. Assign projects to stratum 2 managers based on availability, skill set and team dynamics.Make recommendations and refinements to employee job description, competency models, compensation strategy, pay scales and office layout.Implement comprehensive performance reviews for direct reports. Produce succession candidates for the Director and Manager roles using the ATS process.Ensure that all business activities are performed with the highest ethical standards and in compliance with the ATS Code of Business Conduct.Demonstrate leadership in Health, Safety and Workplace compliance.Additional ResponsibilitiesHold team members accountable for health, safety and environmental compliance as part of the annual performance review process.Ensure that the requirements of the health,



safety and environment management system are implemented and maintained.Carry out hazard assessments, inspections, and audits as required by legislative framework and/or corporate requirements.Ensure that training is provided to all departmental employees as established in the training matrix.Implement appropriate corrective measures for unsafe conditions and unsafe acts.Ensure that appropriate equipment, materials and protective devices are provided and maintained in safe condition.Provide information, instruction and supervision to employees.Take every precaution reasonable in the circumstances for the protection of employees.Attend HSE Due Diligence for Management training sessions.Health, Safety & EnvironmentalAll employees have the responsibility to work in a safe manner and report any health, safety or environmental concern to their manager or supervisor in a timely manner.Health, Safety and Environment include:Work in compliance with divisional health, safety and environmental proceduresRefrain from removing or altering safety devices or guarding unless hazardous energies are controlled through lockout‑tagout methodsReport any unsafe conditions or unsafe actsReport defects in any equipment or protective deviceEnsure that the required protective equipment is used for the assigned tasksAttend all required health, safety and environmental trainingReport any accidents/incidents to supervisorAssist in investigating accidents/incidentsRefrain from engaging in any prank, contest, feat of strength, unnecessary running or rough and boisterous conductATS is in compliance with the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disability Act (AODA), 2005 and will, upon request, assist those who require specific accommodations due to a personal disability.
