Employees are required to be in the office 3 days a week to foster collaboration while providing flexibility.Overall SummaryThe Senior Technical Accountant (Reinsurance) serves as the on‑site operational manager for reinsurance accounting activities and oversees the daily operations of the Toronto Reinsurance Accounting team, currently 4 FTEs with planned expansion.Key ResponsibilitiesTeam Leadership & Operational ManagementLead, coach, and develop a growing team of Reinsurance Accountants.Oversee day‑to‑day execution and workload planning.Provide operational supervision and coordinate with other local Operations teams.Identify employees with potential, engage them in training and skill enhancements.Address knowledge gaps and support remediation with explicit goal settings.Portfolio & Technical Oversight & AdjustmentsProcess treaty broker/cedent accounts.Handle technical bookings (premium, sliding scale, reinstatement, LOCs,
