This role is ideal for a hands‑on leader who thrives in a fast‑paced industrial environment and is committed to safety, efficiency, and team development.During the initial start‑up phase, this position will be actively involved in operations, working alongside and training tarp crew members before transitioning into a more supervisory‑focused role.What We OfferCompetitive hourly rate $32Monday–Friday scheduleOn‑site parkingStable, team‑focused environmentOpportunity to play a key role in building and shaping a growing operation from the ground upScope Of WorkLead day‑to‑day yard operations, supervising tarp and shunt crews on the floorDrive team performance by ensuring productivity, efficiency, and operational targets are consistently metEnforce and promote a strong safety culture,
ensuring all procedures and protocols are followed and continuously improvedOperate a shunt tractor to safely move trailers between staging areas and load bays as requiredMaintain accurate inventory levels and ensure proper tracking of materials and equipmentConduct daily safety meetings and actively participate in customer‑led safety initiativesTrain, mentor, and support team members to build a high‑performing, safety‑focused workforceAct as the primary on‑site contact for customers, maintaining professional communication and strong working relationshipsWhat You Bring3–5 years of experience in yard, logistics, or industrial operations, including leadership or lead hand responsibilitiesA hands‑on leadership style, leading by example and working alongside the teamStrong leadership and team management skills with the ability to coach, motivate, and hold teams accountableProfessional communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with customers and internal stakeholdersDemonstrated commitment to workplace safety and protected work practicesA proactive approach to safety, productivity, and continuous improvementStrong organizational and problem‑solving skills in a fast‑paced environmentSelf‑motivated, with the ability to work independently and as part of a teamValid Class 1 Driver’s License (required for on‑site trailer shunting)Experience operating a shunt tractor or willingness to learnReliable transportation to the Carseland, AB facilityWe are an equal opportunity employer that embraces diversity in the workplace and welcome applications from qualified women, men, visible minorities, aboriginal people and persons with disabilities.
