Position Summary We are seeking an experienced
Manufacturing Supervisor
to join a global size organization supporting manufacturing operations across the
Greater Toronto Area . This role is ideal for a hands‑on manufacturing leader who can motivate teams, drive operational performance, and adapt to the needs of multiple plant locations.
The successful candidate will be comfortable working directly on the plant floor, supporting
different shifts and
locations across the GTA, and leading teams in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
Lead, coach, and develop manufacturing teams to achieve safety, quality, productivity, and operational targets.
Oversee day‑to‑day production activities and ensure efficient execution of manufacturing schedules.
Monitor production performance and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, quality, and processes.
Provide hands‑on leadership and support on the plant floor.
Work closely with Maintenance, Quality, Supply Chain, and Operations teams to resolve issues and minimize downtime.
Promote a solid culture of safety, accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
Support different manufacturing sites across the GTA as business requirements dictate.
Provide leadership cover age across various shifts, including days, afternoons, nights,
and weekends when required.
Address employee and production issues promptly and effectively.
Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and applicable regulations.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree is required
in Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related discipline.
Minimum
2 years of manufacturing leadership experience , including direct people leadership or significant responsibility leading teams, shifts, or production operations.
Experience working in a fast‑paced manufacturing or production environment.
Strong leadership, communication, problem‑solving, and organizational skills.
Demonstrated ability to motivate teams and drive accountability and performance.
Flexibility to support multiple manufacturing sites across the Greater Toronto Area.
Flexibility to work different shifts, including days, afternoons, nights, and weekends as required.
Assets
Unionized manufacturing experience is a strong asset.
Experience working with collective agreements and unionized employees.
Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or Continuous Improvement experience.
Experience with production KPIs, OEE, safety metrics, and quality performance indicators.
