Mechanical Engineering TechnologistLondon ON, 1 year contract (renewable)$24.00 – 31.50/hrPosition: Contractor, Integrated Project TeamPosition DescriptionUnder the guidance of a Team Leader and/or Subject Matter Expert perform one of the following IPT roles; Provisioning/PartsContent Developer/WriterMaintenance Engineering Content Developer/WriterDiagnostics Engineering Content Developer/WriterAdvantagesMechanical Engineering TechnologistLondon ON1 year contract (renewable)$24.00 – 31.50/hrPosition: Contractor, Integrated Project TeamResponsibilitiesMechanical Engineering TechnologistLondon ON, 1 year contract (renewable)$24.00 – 31.50/hrPosition: Contractor, Integrated Project TeamPosition DescriptionUnder the guidance of a Team Leader and/or Subject Matter Expert perform one of the following IPT roles; Provisioning/PartsContent Developer/Writer:Receive, organize, and document system specifications, engineering drawings, bill of materials, and vendor dataDocument the physical breakdown of the vehicle, assembly and/or subsystem(s) in accordance with applicable military standards and approved customer maintenance conceptDocument and maintain the parts data in the Logistics Support Analysis Record databaseDevelop/write recommended repair parts catalogues as part of overall development of technical manuals for automotive/vehicle/turret systems and sub-systems of the Light Armoured Vehicle (LAV)Maintenance Engineering Content Developer/Writer:Analyze vehicle system functionality and identify probable failure modes that could impact system performance/safetyIdentify and recommend specials tools and test equipment that the customer may require in order to effectively support their vehiclesWrite clear, step-by-step maintenance instructions describing to soldiers how to remove,



repair and replace vehicle system components and assembliesDevelop/write procedures as part of overall development of technical manuals for automotive/vehicle/turret systems and sub-systems of the Light Armoured Vehicle (LAV)Diagnostics Engineering Content Developer/Writer:Analysis of electrical, hydraulic and mechanical system functionality to determine most productive troubleshooting methodology (perform Fault Tree Analysis and/or Failure Mode Effect Analysis of system/component)Support development of fault insertion tools and non‑destructive faults for use in validation of troubleshooting proceduresDevelop/write procedures as part of overall development of technical manuals for automotive/vehicle/turret systems and sub-systems of the Light Armoured Vehicle (LAV)Support and/or potentially perform the following functions:Read and interpret engineering blueprints and subcontractor dataGenerate accurate illustration requests to support procedure developmentMaintain the configuration and revision of the data in the database as well as all supporting documentsProactively support and communicate with other Engineering teams and departmentsAssist with aftermarket support requestsPlan and track progress of assigned activities Attend fit-ups as requiredQualificationsRequired Qualifications:University Degree or College Diploma in a technical discipline0 to 3 years relevant experienceKnowledge in the operation, maintenance and integration of vehicle components and systemsDemonstrated high levels of written and oral communications skills, interpersonal and organizational skillsAbility to travel (5% Cdn) and (5% US & Int'l)



and possess/be able to acquire and maintain a valid passportPreferred Qualifications:Proficient knowledge in the operation, maintenance and integration of GDLS-C LAV components and systemsExperience with VisMockup (Team Center Visualization) and Arbortext or other XML editing softwareExperience with MIL-STD-1388 and Logistics Support Analysis Record (LSAR) softwareExperience with MIL-STD-40051 and developing Interactive Electronic Technical Manuals (IETMs)EEO and Diversity StatementRandstad Canada is committed to fostering a workforce reflective of all peoples of Canada.
