By becoming a DCC team member you will have the opportunity to deliver infrastructure solutions to support Canada’s troops and the defence of the Country.Bring your construction expertise, relationship building skills, and contract management know how to a role that ensures quality and keeps projects on schedule.What You’ll DoAs a key member of our Construction Services team, you’ll be the go-to person overseeing a variety of construction, professional services, and service contracts during all stages of construction. You’ll spend your days:Leading Contract AdministrationManaging and administering moderate- to high-complexity construction contracts typically exceeding $25 million in value including professional service design contracts to ensure full compliance with requirements and quality expectations.Monitoring schedules, solving day-to-day issues, managing stakeholders, and contract communication.Driving Quality & Risk ManagementReviewing progress claims, negotiating scope changes, and interpreting contract documents with contractors, consultants, and Client-Partners.Identifying and addressing contract risks within your delegated authority.Being the On-Site ConnectorCoordinating activities with site teams and other service lines.Maintaining detailed site records—photos, activity updates, and documentation that tell the project story.Ensuring health, safety, and industrial security requirements are met.Supporting Project SuccessCoordinating consultant reviews and third-party testing.Managing contract financials and supporting business development opportunities.Building strong, professional relationships across industry partners, Client-Partners, and internal teams.Your BackgroundA college diploma in engineering, applied science,



or a related field—plus six years of relevant experience (or an equivalent mix of training and experience).A university degree in engineering or architecture is preferred.Certification such as Certified Engineering Technologist or P. Eng. is an asset.Your Knowledge & SkillsStrong understanding of construction methods, materials, legislation, and industry best practices.Expertise in project, contract, and risk management principles.Ability to interpret drawings/specifications and use relevant software tools.A knack for building trust, giving functional guidance, and working effectively with cross-functional teams.Where You’ll WorkYou’ll spend time in a mixed environment. a minimum reliability security status clearance is required and some roles may require secret security status clearance.DCC is responsible for the Personnel Security Clearance process. Typically to be eligible for a "Reliability" clearance, you must have five years of verifiable background information and to be eligible for a "Secret" clearance, you must have 10 years of verifiable background information. The process usually involves reference inquiries, verification of qualifications, criminal records checks, and credit checks (as required) and may require fingerprints. For more information about obtaining a security clearance, please review the Standard on Security Screening.Required: The appropriate security clearance is a condition of employment and it is the candidate’s or employee’s responsibility to ensure, they are able to obtain and maintain their required security level clearance to begin or continue their employment with DCC. Failure to obtain or maintain, the appropriate level of security clearance means either the candidate or employee will not receive a job offer, the conditional offer will be rendered null and void or their employment will be terminated with cause.
