Position OverviewFinning Canada is seeking to hire a permanent, full-time Regional Parts Manager, BC North. Reporting to the Director of Parts Operations, this role is responsible for providing clear and effective leadership while fostering a healthy and safe work environment for all parts employees across multiple branches within the region. and STD coverage.Strategically engage Chargehand/Lead Hands to manage quality and quantity as outlined by the CBA.Participate in succession planning for various parts roles and manage the ratios effectively.Clearly define job duties for hourly roles to improve performance within the parts team.Drive engagement and results with CSC employees working from home and in the office.Communication, Collaboration, Inclusion & DiversityProvide inventory control group with feedback on stock requirements to meet customer demands and ensure collaborative communication with teams.Work closely with sales, service leaders, and warehouse within the branch for smooth parts operations flow and customer relationship building.Stay connected at the facility and region level and remain abreast of changes.Collaborate with HR partners to ensure due process in performance management, disciplinary actions, and employee terminations.Ensure people‑management decisions obey the Collective Bargaining Agreement and Finning policies.Lead or participate in grievance processes and work with Labour Relations to resolve.Build a highly engaged team with active communication, feedback, and leadership, fostering a positive employee experience.Share Employee Experience Survey results, solicit feedback, develop and implement action plans to build a highly engaged and performing team.Use strategic skills to present leadership business cases for business growth and sustainability aligned with the RRR Strategy.Travel to various branch locations across the region.Utilize Finning digital and face‑to‑face tools to ensure connectivity to all locations within the region.Customer FocusManage day‑to‑day parts operations, assets, and review monthly parts metrics with a focus on people and core operations delivery.Ensure execution of Finning’s parts operational processes and customer service commitments within each branch.Maintain strong customer satisfaction, building and strengthening relationships, retention, and improving net promoter scores.Direct timely resolutions to customer issues and goodwill settlements.Handle parts‑related customer escalations and ensure resolution aligns with Finning policies.Maintain accurate and updated customer data and promote this mindset within the team.Participate in quarterly top‑tier customer meetings and ensure engagement.Lead and implement required operational continuous improvement processes.Act as an ambassador for parts excellence to exceed monthly metrics.Engage parts personnel in key metrics and guide them toward performance goals.Manage key warehousing activities for smaller branches where applicable.Financial ManagementPlan and manage reporting of parts financial results, assets, and facilities requirements.Handle P&L; aspects, reporting,
and forecasting.Manage budgeting processes.AccountabilityEnsure employee training and regular checks to adhere to Standard Operating Procedures.Apply Finning Health and Safety management system to meet OH&S; requirements.Create quality career learning plans and performance objectives aligned with business strategy.Drive effective parts sales through product knowledge, marketing programs, and customer relationships.Develop and foster healthy relationships with the union and unionized employees.Achieve operational and strategic targets, customer satisfaction, and loyalty and retention.Accountable for all parts KPI, including safety, performance, customer satisfaction, and financial metrics.Mandatory (Must-Have) SkillsMinimum 8 years progressive experience in a parts‑related role such as front parts counter sales or parts warehouse.5 to 8 years progressively responsible people‑management experience, preferably in a unionized setting.Experience with parts and warehouse management systems.Strong understanding of parts and shop counter sales process.Well‑rounded understanding of product support sales process.Knowledge of enterprise resource systems deployed within the parts network.Understanding of warranty offerings and goodwill practices.Thorough understanding of labor relations and grievance resolution process.Business acumen and financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting knowledge.Performance management and improvement plan processes and high‑performance leadership principles.Preferred (Nice‑to‑have) SkillsKnowledge of occupational Health & Safety standard.Ability to utilize HR tools for day‑to‑day people‑management tasks.Soft SkillsExcellent oral and written communication skills and tact.Proven ability to balance time commitments between key operational functions.Strong communication and presentation skills across all levels of the organization.Proven leadership, coaching, mentoring, people, and team development skills in a unionized environment.Adaptability to ever‑changing business needs and a focus on continuous improvement ideas.Exceptional relationship management skills with a strong customer focus.Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and decision‑making skills.Proven financial business acumen.Ability to ensure strategic business planning related to operational aspects.At Finning, we prioritize creating a diverse and inclusive environment.
