Our partner is seeking an experienced Controller to join their leadership team and oversee the company’s financial operations during an exciting period of growth.The location for this role is GTA based travel with expectation in office.About the OpportunityWe are seeking a Controller to manage the full accounting cycle and provide strategic financial oversight across all areas of the business. This role will report directly to the leadership team and play a key part in supporting operational decisions, maintaining financial integrity, and helping guide the company’s continued expansion.The ideal candidate brings solid technical accounting expertise, proven leadership skills, and a practical understanding of construction or project-based financial environments.What You Will DoOversee full-cycle accounting including month‑end, year‑end, and financial statement preparationManage budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow processesImplement and maintain strong internal controls and accounting policiesSupport the company’s transition from QuickBooks to Sage (experience with either is an asset)Partner with project and operations teams to analyze project costs,



profitability, and performanceLiaise with external auditors, banks, and regulatory bodies as requiredProvide financial insight and recommendations to the leadership teamSupervise and mentor accounting staff to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and complianceQualificationsCPA designation (or working toward one) preferred5+ years of progressive accounting or financial management experienceExperience in construction, real estate development, or related industries preferredStrong technical accounting knowledge (GAAP, budgeting, cash flow management)Proficient in QuickBooks and/or Sage; ERP transition experience considered an assetExcellent communication and leadership skills with a collaborative mindsetHighly organized, detail‑oriented, and comfortable managing multiple prioritiesWho You AreYou’re a hands‑on finance professional who thrives in a dynamic, fast‑paced environment.
