This role will be based in Vancouver, BC, with occasional travel to the project site in BC. The Cost Specialist will be responsible for monitoring, tracking, and reporting project costs to ensure alignment with budgets and schedules, while supporting overall financial performance.Job Title:Cost Specialist – Mining ProjectEmployment Type:starting as a contractor with potential to transfer as an employee in June 2026, if that is preferable.ResponsibilitiesCost Tracking & Control: Monitor project expenditures against budgets and forecasts; track commitments, actual costs, and variances; ensure accurate cost coding and timely cost data entry.Budget & Forecast Management: Assist in developing and maintaining project cost estimates and budgets; prepare cost forecasts and cash flow projections; support monthly budget reviews with project managers.Reporting: Prepare and distribute regular cost reports and variance analyses; provide clear explanations for cost deviations and recommend corrective actions; support internal and client reporting requirements.Change Management:
