Position OverviewAs a Field Engineer, you will provide pre‑deployment, execution, and close‑out support for Field Services Projects. The role reports to the Field Engineering Supervisor/Manager and is typically assigned to a Project or Site Manager. It may be elevated to Field Engineering Lead on larger projects and involves regular communication with internal teams, customers, and regulators to address complex technical issues under tight schedules.ResponsibilitiesPre‑Deployment SupportFollow direction from supervisor or lead engineer to perform pre‑deployment tasks in accordance with Nuclear Services Operating Procedures.Review the scope of work to determine applicable Canadian Standards Association (CSA) and American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) Standards.Prepare and review work packages; highlight and correct discrepancies by ensuring all scopes, technical details, quality documents, and compliance with operating procedures are captured.Lead Lessons Learned review and ensure Operational Experience is captured within the work package.Lead procedure development and validation on mockups per Nuclear Services Operating Procedure.Prepare and process requisitions for labour, parts and services per Operating Procedure.Train trades and technicians on technical aspects of the project and create presentations as required.Collaborate with trades, technicians, and engineers to align project expectations and deliverables.Report on progress of deliverables at project meetings.Disposition, implement, and respond to stakeholder comments.Lead project readiness reviews.Interact with regulatory authorities and customer representatives.Provide peer coaching to junior engineers as required.Project Execution SupportDeploy to the work site with the project team.Serve as Field Engineer on shift, designated owner of technical and quality aspects of the project.Ensure trades, technicians, and supervision understand the work package and stop work if the package or quality program is not being followed.Utilize Operating Procedures to address as‑found conditions, rework,



and non‑conformances.Understand CSA and ASME requirements as they pertain to scope of work and arising issues.Apply Human Performance tools to prevent errors: Stop Think Act Review, 3‑way communication, technical pre‑jobs, Stop when Unsure, Questioning Attitude.Serve as single point of contact for all technical issues on project, on shift.Provide technical direction for issues in accordance with work package instructions and escrow unresolved issues to Engineering Lead.Coordinate stakeholders to achieve resolution.Perform technical oversight by witnessing work and conducting walk‑downs or remote monitoring.Process all document changes required by Operating Procedures.Verify all scope required by the work package has been completed and highlight discrepancies.Provide daily project progress updates and a 48‑hour look‑ahead for process and quality hold points.Obtain sign‑offs from customer and regulatory authorities.Project Close‑outEnsure all quality records within the work package are complete and signed off by all parties.Ensure documentation required to support scope completion is accurate.Document and submit lessons learned into the lessons learned database or post‑execution meeting per Operating Procedure.Prepare and review technical reports documenting project execution and outcome.QualificationsBachelor’s of Applied Science in engineering with at least 4 years of industry experience.Working toward Professional Engineer of Ontario designation.Knowledge of materials and field execution practices.Knowledge of Non‑Destructive Examination applications.Knowledge of Nuclear Codes ASME III, V, VIII, IX, N285.Knowledge of Nuclear Standards N286,
