The Association works to sustain the midwifery profession through advocacy, ongoing development of its services, and positioning midwives as primary care providers. MABC collaborates with its 400+ members to strengthen access to high-quality, culturally safe perinatal and sexual health care across the province—through education, strategic programs, and policy leadership. If you are passionate about systems change and want to contribute to the future of midwifery in BC, we’d love to hear from you!Marketing and Communications CoordinatorMABC is seeking a agile and passionate individual to join our team as a Marketing and Communications Coordinator. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in enhancing the organization's visibility, promoting its mission, and fostering positive relationships with stakeholders. Working closely with the Marketing and Communications Director, the Coordinator will execute many aspects of MABC’s Communications Plan, including management of the association’s social media channels.Key ResponsibilitiesResponsible for execution of the communications strategy, acting as a brand champion to ensure clarity, consistency, and cultural safety in voice and tone in all MABC communicationsDevelop and curate engaging content for various channels (print and digital), including newsletters, website, social media, organizational announcements,
and presentationsDevelop and execute social media campaigns to increase public awareness, engagement, and supportMonitor social media trends and conversations to stay informed and responsiveEnsure email campaigns are optimized to increase open and click-through ratesEnsure timely and consistent delivery of internal communications, utilizing analytics to measure effectiveness and implement improvementsOversee the organization’s website content, keeping it up-to-date, visually appealing, and aligned with brand guidelines; work with web developers to implement updatesCreate promotional materials and collaborate with relevant teams to ensure successful event communicationMonitor and analyze communication metrics to assess the effectiveness of strategiesProvide regular reports on key performance indicators and make recommendations for improvementsContribute to strategic planning to identify opportunities to showcase underrepresented midwives’ work and expand accessibility to diverse communities, under the direction and approval of the Director of Marketing and CommunicationsQualificationsWe welcome applicants with a range of educational, professional, and lived experiences.If you meet most (but not all) of the criteria below and are passionate about the role, we encourage you to apply.Preferred Experience and KnowledgeBachelor’s degree or equivalent training and experience in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or a related fieldProven 4+ years’ experience in communication, public relations, or a related role,
