Additional referendum money is available for the next two years starting at $7,730 for the 26‑27 school year; teachers hired during the school year will receive a prorated supplement amount based on the date of hire.Job SummaryServes as liaison between the Exceptional Student Education department and schools, providing direct services for students with disabilities. Supports placement and special education services, identifies student needs, develops training modules, plans programs, implements curriculum, and monitors student progress.Essential FunctionsProvides assistance on the computerized IEP/EP program and IEP/EP development and compliance.Communicates with school personnel and administrators regarding instructional strategies and student performance data.Visits schools to observe the teaching/learning process and provides support and/or technical assistance.Assists in the development/revision of district procedures for exceptional student programs, curriculum, and needs assessments.Develops and implements in‑service training for teachers, therapists, and other staff.Provides information and recommendations regarding instructional materials, equipment, and curriculum.Assists with staffing students eligible for services – Gifted Plan B; provides information and direction to parents and staff in arranging gifted services.Analyzes data to monitor problematic areas, recommends strategies, and maintains program records,
data, and reports.Assists in the design, development, implementation, and evaluation of facilities, programs, and service delivery.Serves as liaison with parent organizations and committee agencies.Performs other duties as assigned.QualificationsEducation : Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university. Master’s degree preferred.Experience : Three (3) years of experience in exceptional student education.
