If you have a passion forfinanceandaccountingand thrive in a agile environment, this could be the perfect prospect for you.We’re looking for anOperations Controllerto join our innovative lumber mill located inVernon, British Columbiain the Lavington Division.Qualifications3+ yearsof relevantfinance experience .Forest industry and/or manufacturing accounting experience is preferred.Degree in businesswith anaccounting specialty .Certified Professional Accountant (CPA) designationrequired, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.Knowledge ofgenerally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) .The ability tolead without direct authorityand work effectively in a team environment.Excellentanalytical, organizational, andtime managementskills.Proactive approach toproblem-solvingwith strongdecision-makingcapability.Proficiency inforward planningandproject management .Excellent computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office suite.ResponsibilitiesOperate in asafe mannerin accordance with work safe rules, regulations, and policies,



and recognize and eliminate all safety hazards.Ensure company policy and procedures are followed.Act as abusiness partnerto the Plant Manager and the site management team.Be responsible forfinancial statement preparationand other divisional cost information.Performon-site reconciliationof balance sheet accounts as required, coordinating with account reconciliations performed by the Shared Services team.Complete theannual business planby collecting data, analyzing, and preparing requiredbudget worksheets and reports .Preparemonthlyandquarterly forecasts .Providestatisticalandfinancial informationandanalysisto the General Manager, Regional Controller, Plant Manager, and department superintendents.Maintain the divisionalfixed asset ledger, including capital spares.Coordinateaudit file preparationand requirements of internal and external auditors.Support and explore innovative ideas that further Tolko’s strategic plan.BenefitsTake on an exciting new challenge with a supportive team.Earn a competitive salary based on your skills and experience.
