Overview

We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Planner to support safe, reliable, and cost-effective maintenance execution within an industrial operation. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing detailed job plans, creating and optimizing preventive maintenance programs, coordinating materials and resources, and supporting maintenance activities through Maximo CMMS.

This role is ideal for someone with a strong mechanical maintenance background, preferably from oil & gas, pipelines, process facilities, or heavy industrial construction environments, who understands field execution and can effectively bridge operations, maintenance, engineering, and contractors.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop detailed maintenance work packages and job plans for corrective and preventive maintenance activities.
- Build, review, and optimize preventive maintenance (PM) programs and maintenance strategies.
- Define labor requirements, tools, equipment, materials, permits, and estimated durations for maintenance work.
- Create standardized job plans and work instructions for recurring maintenance activities.
- Utilize Maximo CMMS to create, manage, and track work orders, asset history, and maintenance records.
- Coordinate with operations, maintenance, engineering, procurement, and contractors to ensure work is properly planned and executed.
- Identify and procure required spare parts and materials to support scheduled maintenance activities.
- Review completed work orders and capture feedback to improve future planning and execution.
- Support shutdowns, turnarounds, and major maintenance events as required.




- Participate in troubleshooting efforts and provide technical planning support for equipment reliability issues.
- Ensure all work planning activities align with site safety procedures, regulations, and operational requirements.

Required Qualifications

- 5+ years of maintenance planning experience in industrial environments.
- Strong experience with Maximo CMMS.
- Experience developing and optimizing preventive maintenance programs.
- Hands-on field maintenance experience supporting mechanical equipment.
- Robust understanding of maintenance planning, estimating, scheduling, and work management processes.
- Experience coordinating maintenance activities with vendors, contractors, and internal stakeholders.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience in oil & gas, pipelines, terminals, processing facilities, refining, petrochemical, mining, power generation, or heavy industrial construction environments.
- Maintenance Planning Specialist certification or equivalent training.
- Experience supporting pumps, rotating equipment, compressors, conveyors, valves, and related mechanical systems.
- Experience supporting shutdowns, turnarounds, and reliability initiatives.
- Knowledge of asset management and maintenance best practices.
