This role assists with volunteer recruitment,



onboarding, recognition, and engagement initiatives, as well as outreach activities and event coordination. It’s an ideal opportunity for a student interested in community development, volunteer management, and nonprofit work to gain hands‑on experience while empowering girls and gender-diverse youth across the Lower Mainland.What you will be doing:Assist with outreach and posting of volunteer opportunities across platforms.Support the coordination of volunteer inquiries, applications, and onboarding processes.Assist in maintaining up‑to‑date volunteer and client records and contact lists in the database.Support communication with volunteers and clients through e‑newsletters, emails, and appreciation messages.Contribute to developing and implementing volunteer recognition initiatives and events.Community Engagement & EventsSupport the planning and coordination of community engagement events and outreach activities.Help build and maintain relationships with community organizations, schools, and local businesses.Assist in coordinating logistics for volunteer and community events (venue booking, materials prep, registration, set‑up/tear‑down).Support data collection, surveys, and reporting to evaluate engagement initiatives.Administrative SupportProvide administrative and logistical support for volunteer and community engagement initiatives.Maintain organized digital and physical files related to volunteers, clients, partners, and events.Assist with scheduling, note‑taking, and coordination of meetings or team activities.Ensure materials and resources for volunteer engagement are up‑to‑date and accessible.Assist with other Programs and agency activities as needed, including supporting events, camps, workshops, and special initiatives.Offer ideas and suggestions to enhance Big Sisters programs, activities, and community engagement efforts.What you bring: Education & ExperienceLooking to enter post‑secondary,
