This collaborative family practice is supported by a team of six part‑time physicians who work together to provide comprehensive, patient‑centered care. The clinic is well‑resourced with three highly skilled LPNs, a dedicated social worker on site, and access to a dietician two days per week and a physiotherapist one day per week, enabling a robust interdisciplinary approach to care. A full complement of experienced administrative staff supports clinic operations, ensuring efficient workflow and continuity of care. The practice operates Monday to Friday from 8:00 a.M. to 4:30 p.M., with opportunities to participate in evening clinics for those interested in extended hours.Job DescriptionCoastal Family Health is seeking a Family Physician to provide Locum coverage for the following dates:April 13-24 - any or all dates excluding weekendsJuly 13-24Locum physicians provide coverage for family practices, including inpatient and nursing home care, as well as specialist hospital and office coverage as requested. Compensation includes a minimum daily income guarantee of $1,200 for family physicians ($600 for half‑day), with additional earnings if shadow billings exceed this amount. Travel expenses, including kilometrage, per diems, accommodations (up to $300 per night), and airfare (up to $1,500), are reimbursed, along with travel time up to 10 hours per week. Licensing fees for CPSNS are covered, and locum physicians may claim Facility On Call fees under specific conditions.Sydney is the historic capital of Cape Breton and largest urban centre on the island.
