This 10‑week program (June–August) is designed to provide hands‑on learning, skill development, and real‑world experience in a collaborative and innovative environment, based in our Sheridan Park office. Reporting directly to the Electrical Engineering Manager, the intern will support product certification, development of new electronics, and sustaining engineering across IMAX’s product portfolio.ResponsibilitiesReview schematics, PCB layouts, interconnect diagrams, and test procedures for the design engineering team.Create test setups and execute test procedures for the certification engineering team.Contribute to the sustaining engineering backlog.Learn and build familiarity with IMAX’s product portfolio and theatre technologies.Partner with the engineering manager to improve business processes and help organize laboratory space.QualificationsCurrently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.Experience with circuit design and PCB layout (Altium experience preferred).Experience debugging circuit boards in a lab environment.Robust problem‑solving skills.Passion for learning.Nice to HavesAbility to communicate complex technical concepts effectively.Strong written and verbal communication skills.Passion for IMAX and the theatrical experience.Position StatusNew Role – Active, currently vacant, and approved for staffing.Compensation$21.00 per hour.
