The Specialist will partner with clients to support talent acquisition activities including attraction, selection and recruitment of top talent.The Specialist will review/research and make recommendations on innovative recruitment strategies, provide guidance and support on HR policy, collective agreement provisions (as applicable), and compliance with employment-related legislation.The Specialist will inform best practices in recruitment and retention strategies and contribute to the development of standard operation procedures.As the HR Specialist in Recruitment you will:Manage the complete recruitment cycle, expertly guiding hiring managers in the attraction, selection, recruitment and onboarding of current employeesWork with internal clients to implement innovative recruitment strategies for key and hard-to-fill rolesBuild effective networks and relationships to ensure a strong pipeline of top talent for hard-to-fill roles, including highlighting passive candidate talent poolsProvide expert and evidence-informed guidance to hiring managers, based on a comprehensive knowledge of legislative guidelines and interpretation of workforce analyticsBuild strong relationships with hiring managers to support fair and equitable hiring decisions in line with HR policies,
evidence-informed practices and collective agreementsSupport client groups to maintain up-to-date posting languageRecommend and implement process improvement opportunities that enhance service to clients and the candidate experienceCollaborate with the Human Resources team to gather, maintain and communicate recruitment data that supports clients’ decision-makingMaintain accurate and up-to-date Human Resources Information System data and reportsQualificationsA minimum post-secondary degree as well as a diploma in Human Resources Management or equivalent is requiredCompletion of or working towards CHRP or CHRLMinimum 3 years’ recent experience working in a recruitment capacity is required, including creating job postings, interview guides and applicant lists; developing screening questions to enable filtering of applicants; coordinating interviews; conducting reference checks; and issuing employment offers.Experience in partnering with hiring managers in a unionized environment,
