If so, do not miss the opportunity to join an engaging team of people-centric professionals, leaders, problem solvers, entrepreneurs in spirit and status quo-fighters!Continuously improve in all areas, which include, safety, quality and efficiency, supporting Safety and LEAN operating principles throughout the facility.SHIFT: Rotating Continental Shift (2 weeks days, 2 weeks nights 7-7)Pay: $28.18/hourRequirementsCompletion of Grade 12 or equivalentPrevious forklift and overhead crane experience is considered an assetKnowledge of protected work practices involving hand toolsAdvanced English comprehension, both written and verbalResponsibilitiesRead and interpret micrometers, OD tapes, and Vernier calipers, recording all line product specifications hourly at the work station and extruderComplete and apply findings to the Product Specification Sheet, including print line quality, accuracy, index marks, line amps, vent, vacuum, OD1, heat temperatures, melt temperature, and melt pressureRecord any adjustments, variances, or problems encountered when taking specs. Notify the Supervisor or other front-line leaders if major adjustments on the line are requiredWeigh finished goods and record hourly; calculate the running weight of total finished goods before the end of the shiftEnter all rejects into the MES system by piece as they come out of the line, at least once per hour.
Weigh and track all crates of reject on the Operator hourly documentationProactively monitor the MES data system hourly to ensure information accuracy, including reject updates, line status, and regrind entriesAdjust haul-offs and perform die set adjustments to control the thickness of the pipe wall as directed by Team Lead/Supervisory staffAdjust the outside diameter of the pipe (OD)Build crates with a pneumatic nail gun to specifications listed on QC packaging instructions; ensure crates aretightly and accurately strapped and placed in designated areasEnsure the accurate pre-cut blocks and frames are used for packaging finished and rejected products as per QC packaging instructionsConduct quality checks on manufactured products and report readings to the SupervisorParticipate in, assist with, and train for product changeovers, which may include changing downstream elements and assisting senior operators with start-ups and shutdownsPerform other duties as assigned, with the aim of acquiring the knowledge and experience necessary to advance within the companyBenefitsCompetitive wages and a comprehensive benefits packageOptional company matching RRSP contribution planPaid statutory holidaysAnnual plant bonus programPaid training, skills upgrading, and advancement opportunitiesWorking ConditionsMust use applicable PPE, including but not limited to hearing/eye protection, full face respirators, and safety shoesRequires a high degree of mobility,
