ResponsibilitiesProvides support to the safety program, policy development and implementation.Provides general coordination and administrative support to the safety department.Liaises with the training department in developing safety‑related training materials and ensures they align with regulatory and safety program requirements.Provides communications for the programs and services within the Safety, Environment and Emergency Management department.Promotes the programs; responds to employee, management and other internal or external stakeholder inquiries and interprets policies, procedures and the collective agreement provisions.Supports and coordinates the implementation of incident investigation and audit compliance.Provides support to managers and supervisors to facilitate implementation of programs in different departments.Supports the development of metrics to track and measure program implementation.Provides feedback on program performance to relevant stakeholders and monitors corrective actions.EducationPost‑secondary diploma in Occupational Health & Safety.Experience2 years of experience in implementation and administration of a safety program and policy development.



A further period of up to six (6) months on the job is required to become familiar with the existing systems and processes.Work DetailsWork schedule: 40 hours per week.Work designation: Resident – primarily on‑site.Rate of pay: $40.84 per hour.
