Become a Family Support Worker with the Oneida Nation of the Thames, delivering vital support to families and youth at risk. This role emphasizes early intervention, safety, and community collaboration.
Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor’s or similar degree in social services and have relevant experience in child welfare. As a Family Support Worker, you will deploy a holistic, strengths-based approach to help families navigate challenges while ensuring stability and safety. Note that evening and weekend availability is part of this role.
Key Responsibilities:
• Support families in crisis or at risk of intervention • Work collaboratively with local agencies and partners • Advocate for culturally based practices to promote wellness • Assist families in accessing appropriate community resources • Identify individual family needs and implement solutions
Requirements: • Bachelor’s preferred or relevant Diplomas considered • At least two years’ experience in social services • Robust understanding of Oneida cultural practices required • Class 'G' Ontario Driver’s License needed • Vulnerable Sector Check required before employment
