Role SummaryReporting to the Supervisor, Business Systems, this analyst is responsible for providing analysis, process modeling and support to established and proposed Transit systems to ensure optimum functionality and configuration that supports user requirements. The role delivers excellent service while protecting the integrity of Transit systems.ResponsibilitiesBusiness analysis: monitor and recommend changes to business processes and supporting technology to improve the quality of service plan deliverables.Represent Brampton Transit on various committees with internal and external stakeholders.Review data, trends and correlations to identify related issues.Gather user technical and business requirements and develop conceptual designs.Analyze and interpret data to solve complex problems, including making recommendations.Implement approved process improvements using project management methodology to document processes, functionality, timelines and expected results.Establish performance measurement tools, develop and maintain business intelligence reports and dashboards.Participate in test plan development and review sessions.Flag concerns and escalates to appropriate level for performance or system infringement issues.Retrieve statistical data on users, identify deviations and recommend corrective actions.Regularly report on system usage,



striving to maintain system integrity.Provide analytical advice and assimilate data for statistical overviews.Troubleshoot issues to ensure prompt resolution within system accountability boundaries.Respond to user‑identified system issues and concerns in a timely manner.Ensure required functionality and reporting meets the needs of the Corporation and end users.Liaise with system vendors to resolve, test and implement issues promptly.Identify associated business risks and potential impacts on Transit Systems and service delivery.Maintain department security tree, ensuring compliance with policies, procedures and methodologies.Stay abreast of software development and provide recommendations.Participate in testing and implementation of system modules, providing final approval for system acceptance testing.Lead new release changes associated with system deployments through coordination of COB and vendor change processes.Maintain accurate documentation of procedures and functions within Transit business units.Provide training materials and conduct end‑user training sessions.Coordinate end‑user testing.Communicate business objectives and articulate end‑user needs in committees and meetings.Ensure the system is not compromised with improper usage or tracking.Provide technical assistance, mentoring and coaching.Lead and/or participate on project teams and focus groups for project initiation,



development and upgrades.Work with team members to identify opportunities and risks for current and forecasted projects.Liaise with third‑party vendors, other Transit agencies and industry partners to discuss issues and solutions.Job DetailsLocation: Transit Sandalwood FacilityHours of Work: 35‑hour work weekSalary Range: $90,670.00 – $102,004.00 per annum (maximum $113,337.00 per annum)Job Grade: 005Posting Date: 04/24/2026Closing Date: 05/07/2026QualificationsEducation : Degree or diploma in Computer Science, Computer Technology, or equivalent work‑related experience.Experience : Minimum 3 years of related experience, preferably in the transit industry; municipal experience anasset.Other Skills and Assets :Ability to conduct fieldwork at Transit sites and on‑board buses to work with users and observe business systems.Extensive experience in business re‑modelling, system administration and support of mission‑critical systems in a fast‑paced workplace.Experience with SQL, WebFocus, Power BI and Power BI Report Builder is preferred.Experience with transit business technology such as PRESTO, Fareboxes, CAD/AVL, AVM, Maintenance Work Order Management and Transit Scheduling software is preferred.Financial reporting experience an asset.Exceptional MS Office skills.Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with a strong aptitude for working with users, vendors and clients.EEO StatementThe City of Brampton is an equal‑opportunity employer.
