Social Media CoordinatorThe Social Media Coordinator will support youth-led digital storytelling and community outreach during Canada’s 2026 football season by producing positive, inclusive, and community-focused media content. The participant will help highlight local youth initiatives, multicultural celebrations, volunteerism, food security events, and community gatherings connected to the World Cup environment. They will create engaging short‑form videos, social media posts, event recaps, interviews, and other digital content that showcases Canada’s diversity, hospitality, and community spirit.The youth employee will assist with planning and producing content for Instagram, YouTube Shorts, TikTok-style videos, X, and Facebook. Responsibilities include capturing and editing video clips, photos, and short interviews at community events; writing captions,scripts, and event summaries; and supporting live or near‑live coverage such as stories, highlights, and reels. They will maintain a straightforward content calendar, organize digital assets, and help schedule posts across multiple platforms.The participant will research and propose content concepts that spotlight Canadian culture, youth empowerment, tourism, local businesses, intercultural dialogue, and positive social connection. They will collaborate with staff and volunteers to ensure messaging aligns with organizational values, accessibility standards, and ethical storytelling guidelines.The youth employee will use digital tools such as Canva, CapCut, Adobe Express, smartphone videography apps, social media scheduling tools, cloud‑based content libraries,
and analytics dashboards. Under staff mentorship, they will also be introduced to responsible AI‑assisted tools for idea generation, drafting, and content organization.This position provides hands‑on experience in digital content production, social‑media strategy, community engagement, communication, research, teamwork, and professional workflow management. It directly supports national CSJ priorities by offering significant exposure to digital technologies, media tools, and foundational AI‑assisted tasks.
