About the RoleWe are seeking a dependable and proactive Electrician to join our dynamic team at our state-of-the-art manufacturing facility. This role is responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing industrial electrical systems and equipment to support safe and efficient operations. The Electrician will work with a variety of electrical components and control systems, including PLC equipment, while ensuring compliance with safety standards and electrical codes. This position is based at our Abbotsford facility on Clearbrook Road and works 40 hours per week, Monday to Thursday from 4:00 PM to 02:30 AM.About YouYou are a skilled and safety-focused Electrician with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. You thrive in an industrial environment and bring both electrical and mechanical expertise, along with a proactive approach to maintenance and troubleshooting.Qualifications & ExperienceRed Seal Electrical certificationMinimum of 5 years of experience working as an electrician in an industrial environmentStrong expertise with PLC controlsFamiliarity with industrial and electrical lawsExcellent understanding of safety rules in an industrial settingEssential SkillsStrong mechanical, analytical, and solution-driven mindsetExcellent communication skillsAbility to read and interpret drawings, blueprints, and measuring devicesAbility to schedule work, balance priorities, and meet deadlinesStrong electrical and mechanical abilitiesExperience working with automation and conveyorsAbility to use basic tools and machineryFlexibility to work late hours, overtime,
and weekends when requiredWillingness to perform physically demanding tasks such as lifting heavy objects, climbing ladders, and crawlingWhat You Will DoInstallation and Setup: Read and interpret drawings, blueprints, schematics, and electrical code specifications. Install electrical wiring, conduits, feeders, lighting fixtures, and other electrical components.Maintenance and Repairs: Maintain, repair, install, and test electrical systems and equipment. Work with switchgear, transformers, switchboards, meters, regulators, and reactors. Maintain and repair electrical motors, generators, alternators, storage batteries, and control systems.Troubleshooting: Test electrical and electronic equipment for continuity, current, voltage, and resistance. Troubleshoot industrial electrical and electronic control systems and related devices.PLC & Control Systems: Maintain, repair, test, and install PLC equipment.
